Dec. 14th Event: Radical Mental Health Movie Screening and Discussion

Do you question the normative institutionalized aspect of psychology and psychiatric practices? Are you
interested in raising awareness around psychological activism? So do we!

We’re having a radical mental health movie screening and open discussion of the movie Tarnation.

Movie description: Filmmaker Jonathan Caouette’s documentary on growing up with his schizophrenic mother
— a mixture of snapshots, Super-8, answering machine messages, video diaries, early short films, and more
— culled from 19 years of his life.

Where: The Flying Brick
506 S. Pine Street
Richmond, VA

When: Tuesday, 12/14 7:00-10:00pm

How: If anyone would like to carpool, just contact us at mindfulliberationproject@gmail.com.

Come out to discuss the character(s) coping with and realizing their actual role as autonomous individuals,
rather than a cog in the ‘crazy machine.’ Also feel free to discuss anything else that comes to mind!

**The Flying Brick is a sober space, so no drugs or alcohol, please!**
