FOIA For Change (FFC) is a subproject of Mind(ful) Liberation Project. Launched officially on May 29, 2012, FOIA For Change is
a project to end police brutality against people with ‘mental illness.’
Through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, FFC disseminates police training manuals in ‘handling the mentally ill’ to
the public.

A not-for-profit organization, FOIA For Change came to our minds with much passion. For years we have advocated for the rights
of people with mental health concerns, as well as those that come in contact with the police and the Criminal Justice System.
It was only a matter of time that the two collided into a project that spans the U.S., bringing East and West coasts together
in solidarity on a very grave and important topic.
R.I.P. all those murdered by the State. We will make sure, as much as possible and then some, that this doesn’t happen again.
